Chain Reaction Cycling Challenge 2013

Michael Robinson – The man behind the ride.

Michael, also known as “Robbo” is a Director of LOOK Property Group, and has over 17 years experience in the real estate industry. LOOK specialises in residential project sales and marketing within Melbourne, with a complete service focusing on all aspects of a projects development. www.lookpropertygroup.com.au

Now, together with LOOK and Chain Reaction, he is riding 1039km for charity. The Chain Reaction Challenge 2013 sees 40 corporate seniors ride through 7 peaks in 7 days for the Starlight Children’s Foundation and the Royal Children’s Hospital Foundation. LOOK wanted to be a part of such a great cause and have enlisted Michael as their rider for the first time of doing the challenge.

Michael is undergoing enormous amounts of training for the event, you can “track Robbo’s ride” right here. http://trackrobbosride.com. Be part of the journey.

In preparing for the mountains of Mt Buller, myself and the Chain Reaction team have been hitting the hills.

I’m hurting already, but this is nothing in comparison to the 12,000 metres uphill I’ll have to do in just 7 days! The mental preparation is probably more important…

A big thankyou to realestate.com.au for supporting us (because we are such valued clients) and sponsoring Chain Reaction 2013 by providing us with some training jerseys! The Kordamentha team look great in red…

A sincere shout-out to our rep Maurice Molan for organising this. We are all training hard in them and they were christened with sweat last week. Cheers!

A little goes a long way

My two beautiful children, Summer & Luca donated their last two weeks pocket money towards my charity ride. Although they are both very young, I spoke to them about the importance of this challenge, and what peoples contributions could do for the sick children and their families. I also made them appreciate how lucky they had it. They genuinely wanted to help and saught permission from mum to help them donate and post a note on the page:

Summer and Luca Robinson – $20 Daddy we wish you luck on your ride. WE LOVE YOU love Summer and Luca xoxoxoxo

The GORC 27.12.12

Merry Christmas everyone! I hope you are all having a great time relaxing with your families. The Robinson’s head down to Lorne annually to celebrate and escape from city life; such a great place to kick your feet up with the kids, and the riding opportunities down here are endless! After a short break and many “holiday waters” I decided I was ready to head back on the bike and into training…

Today I rode 70km along the Great Ocean Road with all of my G.O.R.C mates. (Great Ocean Road Cycling). It was a beautiful sunny 22 degrees, the ocean breeze drifting across the back; I couldn’t ask for better conditions! I suppose I wouldn’t say it was “training” but it was certainly enjoyable and I’m on the way there. Every ride counts right?

Enjoy the holidays and have a drink for me!
